Happy New Year!

It's 2018 and already we are looking forward to brighter mornings and longer evenings.  But before we turn our backs completely on 2017, we thought that you might enjoy watching a retrospective video of the last twelve months to remind us of our successes and achievements.  Let's hope that 2018 brings further happiness and success to us all.  Click on the image above to watch the video.

French and German Christmas Market

Congratulations to pupils from Form 4 who raised €478.30 for the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul in December with their very popular French and German Christmas Market.  Pupils transformed The Reynolds Hall into a Christmas wonderland with delicious treats, games and quizzes, colourful tinsel and paper snowflakes galore.

Focus Ireland Sleep-in

Pupils from Form 4 and their teachers participated in a charity sleep-in at the end of our last school term.  The aim of the event was to raise funds for and awareness of homeless in Ireland.

Study Time!

We should like to remind you that the next session of Supervised Study runs from 15 January until 9 February.  It is on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 4.00 pm to
6.00 pm in A2 and is open to all pupils.

Helen Kane Memorial Charity Challenge - Forty Foot

Congratulations to our Form 4 pupils and their teachers who took part in this year's Helen Kane Memorial Charity Challenge at the Forty Foot.  December temperatures did nothing to dampen the swimmers' enthusiasm and on the journey home some even declared that they would do it again next year.

Form 4 Charity Hill Walk

Congratulations to all Form 4 pupils and teachers who took part in the recent Helen Kane Memorial Charity Challenge at the Sugar Loaf.  Despite the cold temperature, the day was dry creating the perfect conditions for this annual event.  Participants enjoyed magnificent views from the summit and lively discussion as they walked there and back again.

Junior Art and Design Exhibition

Pupils from Forms 1 and 2 have been working diligently on their projects as part of their Art and Design course.  We were thrilled to display their wonderful work in the Reception area of the school.  Pupils from Form 1 made colourful masks inspired by mythology and the sea, while those in Form 2 made a collection of ceramic pieces entitled 'Pets'.  What a colourful Art and Design exhibition!  Click on the video below for a closer look.

Physical Education - Survival Skills

Pupils from Form 2 enjoyed the experience of outdoor education recently and learned how to build shelters as part of their PE course.
