![]() WEEKLY VIDEO Reconnect Wellbeing Program Social Worker Amy Lin talks about support for older people in our region affected by COVID-19 Relationships Australia's Reconnect Wellbeing Program is a free service designed for those over 65, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people over 55, who live in the CESPHN region and have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. Social Worker, Amy Lin, sat down with us to discuss what the program offers and the benefits it has for older people living in our region. The course includes presentations and case discussions that introduce the epidemiology and natural history of hepatitis B, vaccination, testing, fibrosis assessment, advanced liver disease, stigma and discrimination and the cultural context of hepatitis B nursing. This event is funded by NSW Health. Lived experiences of treatment for hepatitis C in Australia Researchers from La Trobe University are currently investigating people’s experiences of hepatitis C, treatment and post-treatment life and seeking interviews with people affected by it. Individuals who have medically acquired hepatitis C, have had multiple diagnoses or hepatitis C without treatment experiences are encouraged to participate. The research team at La Trobe invite primary care providers to pass on this opportunity to relevant patients. National Reconciliation Week 2021 - Resources The dates for National Reconciliation Week (NRW) remain the same each year: 27 May to 3 June. Our Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Programs Officer Karina has developed a quiz for you and your practice to do as a team or individually, or as a promotional tool during NRW. Answers can be obtained by emailing k.crutch@cesphn.com.au prior to 27 May. Karina can assist you to use the quiz on your own websites and social media during NRW. The answers will also be published in the June 2 edition of Sydney Health Weekly. Decision support in Walrus includes data quality, PIP QI, MBS eligibility and various risk assessment tools. Walrus will be available for general release soon.
