Good morning, everyone!
Wait, are you on the east coast? GOOD AFTERNOON to you. Right now, I'm back in the OVEN called Phoenix, Arizona. My beautiful bride and I were spoiled on our walks up in the mountains of New York. I'm making the Daddest of Dad jokes to everyone I run into here in Phoenix. When I run into them, I say, "I leave for three weeks and come home to this HEAT! Who left the oven door open???" I usually get a guffaw or two, maybe a chuckle, and sometimes an "OHHH NOOOOOO." No matter how they respond, I grin the entire time. That always helps when delivering a bad joke. If you're smiling they can't help but at least give you a chuckle, rather than a wince of pain!
After an overheated run this weekend, I jumped into my pool with the girls, hoping to cool off. Whelp, that didn't work out. The POOL was 34 degrees! I was hot before I jumped in, and I was hot when I was in there, LOL! Oh Phoenix, how you make it rough on us who live here! You make it GLORIOUS for seven to eight months a year, but you punish us for at least four months! I guess it's the same thing for my friends up north? Wonderful summers, but difficult winters?
