Cover page: One City Hill, Canberra: Thank you Simon Stewart for sharing MESSAGESA message from Damien Laforest Busy start to 2021 as we try very hard to put 2020 behind us. Reds Global has recently undertaken a "Green and Growing Project" whereby an assessment of our business has taken place by a reputable external consultant. This has resulted in some recommended changes that will see new positions in the business to support our people and our clients to prime us for future growth. We look forward to sharing these changes as they are adopted. This represents an important step in setting our business up for the future! The consultative committee met recently and we discussed the content of the next Training Day. Watch out for a save the date to come out soon. It's been a long time coming for obvious reasons and we look forward to getting back into it. The rigging team has been busy, check out some of the works completed:
We have taken receipt of our first Moritsch RTL325A and another on the water right now. We look forward to installing these very soon. Reds Global is always looking at new equipment purchases to match out clients needs but also to keep our fleet age young. We are working on a number of projects at the moment and look forward to sharing these with you all, as and when they drop. Take care, Damien. CANBERRA INSTALL - Thank you James Gardner, what a spectacular photo. HEALTH AND SAFETY Hi All, My first quarterly message to the Reds Global family. For those of you who haven’t met me – I’m Paul and the new Safety Guru. I am taking over from Ben and Mitch who have been doing great work and I am very thankful for the great base that we have and look to build on it to reflect the great work that we do. A brief history on myself, I have been in safety for 13 years now and most of that time involved in civil construction. Of that time in civil it has been in Canberra. The rest of my time in safety has been in a variety of industries between Sydney, Newcastle and Queensland. This is my first time within cranes, so there is a lot for me to learn about crane industry. Onto the safety message, this year I feel that it is going to be one of contrasts. We are coming out of the Pandemic from last year and so there is going to be a lot of activity in the industry. And it’s not just going to be at work where there is going to be more activity. NSW and Australia are coming out of lockdowns and restrictions. It means we can get on again with doing those things that we did before the Pandemic. The upshot of this is that we will have extra things occupying our thoughts. It also means we will likely have more distractions from our tasks and what we are doing. A way to think about this is that our minds are like spotlights focusing on things – and what we want to do is make sure that we focus on the tasks at hand. This is something that even the best athletes and sporting teams can have trouble with. What things we can do, like the athletes is encourage each other to focus on the tasks we are doing as well as take some time to go through the task we will be doing. We are also most likely to get ourselves involved in an incident immediately before and after a break, just like those athletes. Also like those athletes we do well when we refocus our spotlight minds back to what we are about to do. I am going to be meeting as many of you as I can in the next few weeks. Stay safe Paul

RENAISSANCE CANBERRA:- Thank you Shane Hunt for sharing your sunrise with us NAME THE CRANE CEREMONY WITH HANSEN YUNCKEN:- Our Iglu Summer Hill project team has welcomed a new hero onto the site, ‘Sir Liftalot’ the Crane. Knighted in an official naming ceremony this week, the crane was fittingly named by 11 year old Conor, winner of the ‘Name the Crane’ competition which included the neighbouring SHARE Before and After School Care Centre. Conor’s reasoning for dubbing the crane Sir Liftalot resonated with the site team - “There is a famous person called Lancelot and he is very strong and reliable.” The site team welcomed Conor and his family, as well as the competition runners up to the site to meet Sir Liftalot up close. They even had a chance to speak with some of the real heroes of the site, the crane operators. Hansen Yuncken is proud to be partnering with Iglu Student Accommodation to deliver its new 181 bed Sydney development, which includes the refurbishment and restoration of the existing heritage significant ambulance station on site. Being healthy should be part of your overall lifestyle. Living a healthy lifestyle can help prevent chronic diseases and long-term illnesses. Feeling good about yourself and taking care of your health are important for your self-esteem and self-image. Maintain a healthy lifestyle by doing what is right for your body. Surround yourself with positive energy In order to have a sound mental and emotional state, you must surround yourself with positive energy. Yes, not all problems can be avoided. But it helps to face such obstacles with an optimistic outlook. Surround yourself with encouraging friends and people that will provide you with constructive criticism every once in a while to help you improve. Make it a habit to always look at the brighter side of life. Even if you find yourself in the worst situation, there is always an upside to it—something good and positive. Dwell on these things instead. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is not that difficult, nor does it require a lot of work. Just keep doing what you do and apply the staying healthy tips listed above—surely you will be a well-rounded individual in no time.
