Learn to Play Disc Golf
As the warmer weather arrives, this is the perfect time to try out an outdoor activity that’s great for the whole family! Disc golf is a sport that combines ultimate frisbee with golf. The goal is to get a frisbee into the basket using the fewest throws. Did you know there are now three (3) disc golf courses in Guelph? They are located in Riverside Park, Eastview Community Park and at the University of Guelph Arboretum. Check out a disc golf set from the library and try it out! Each kit comes with a driver disc, putter disc and instructions on how to play.

The Rosa Rattray Early Literacy Fund
The Rosa Rattray Early Literacy Fund was established in 2017 in memory of Rosa Rattray, a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who instilled a love of reading and learning in her entire family. Gifts toward the fund help support early literacy initiatives at Guelph Public Library, providing resources and equipment to help young minds develop crucial building blocks for lifelong learning as well as nurture a love of reading and literacy right from the beginning.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, through the fund, Early Literacy Stations, Playaway Launchpads, educational toys, S.T.E.M. robots -  and more have been purchased for our library system. These learning tools are especially popular – and to date have provided thousands of learning hours for children in our community.

In addition, family members of Rosa have partnered with Guelph Royals baseball and will be on hand for all home games this season during the prize draws.

Donate to this Early Literacy Fund today!
