JOY Annual General Meeting
The 2019 Annual General Meeting of JOY will be held at 2pm on 20 October 2019 at Level 4, RMIT Building 10, Swanston Street, Melbourne.
We’ve had to change the venue as the Kulin Room at City Village has proved to be too small for the anticipated attendance. We thank RMIT for their cooperation in providing the alternative venue for us.
Hopefully subsequent AGMs can be held in the new Pride Centre!
Funding Support
JOY has received the first of four financial grants from the Victoria State Government, Department of Premier & Cabinet, the funds ear-marked for our relocation to the pride centre and to assist us
in building a stronger JOY.
Social Media
Social media is a digital tool which JOY uses to spread our messages. Our Social Media team is being re-grouped and soon volunteers will be required for behind-the-scenes production and posting.
CHUFFED crowd funding appeal
JOY is evolving into a champion of social inclusion AND broadening our activities. As Australia's only LGBTIQ+ community radio station, we are in a great position to spread ourselves into more than just a community radio station – valuable as it will always be, We want to build JOY Nation, taking control of our financial survival.
Late in September we launched the appeal to the wider community (not just JOY Members) for funds using the crowd-funding body Chuffed.
*JOY plans to develop our products, create engaging stories to market them to our potential clients and, most importantly, your financial contribution at this time will seed the building of an ongoing income stream that reduces our reliance on and vulnerability to the giving cycle.
DONATE
*Your contribution will also fund product design, development and promotion work including technical, graphical and communications costs. Our products will include visual, audio and print mediums accessible to community, corporate and government workplaces.
*Your investment in this campaign will ensure Australia's only LGBTIQ+ community radio station evolves into the champion of social inclusion whilst taking control of our own financial survival.
The appeal will run for 3 months. Please go to the JOY homepage and click on the prominent link to Chuffed, or click here and please spread the news to all your social media friends.
