Our team at the Confucius Institute wish you all a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival for yesterday! To celebrate, we held an event in the hub with live traditional music and activities where Mooncakes could be won. Thank you to everyone who came by and participated in the festivities.

This past week we also celebrated Confucius Day. In the latest episode of Nihao Mate we interviewed several students to test their knowledge of Confucius.

We are now offering a complete and comprehensive HSK preparation curriculum to help students pass and attain maximum results for the HSK Chinese proficiency test.

HSK Level 4 Course (A1)

Course Duration: 10 weeks (One 2 hour session per week)

Chengyu of the week

Chengyu 成语 are a type of Chinese idiom which mostly consist of four characters. They were widely used in classical Chinese and are still commonly used today.

Direct Translation: draw a snake with feet
Meaning: to ruin the effect by adding sth superfluous; to overdo it
