Spring certainly sprung a surprise, with a series of storm events hitting South Australia throughout September.
We know it's disruptive to have Montacute Road closed and a number of other roads affected as a result of the storm damage over the previous few weeks. We have started fixing Montacute Road and expect that single-lane access will be available by the end of October. Other roads and damages are being assessed and scheduled for repair.
We have been working collaboratively with State Government departments DEWNR and DPTI to ensure that Montacute Road is repaired and trafficable as soon as possible. Their support and collaboration to complete this project is both important and appreciated.
We are very proud of our staff; their dedication and hard work in ensuring safe conditions for our communities through the recent and current storm events has been second to none.
The sense of community that has evolved around the ongoing inclement weather is something to be proud of. We extend our thanks to our you, the CFS, SES, and all volunteers who have assisted with the response to the storm events.
