Technology Update SmartNIC Shell for 100G NICs BittWare has announced SmartNIC Shell, a suite of IP modules for building 100G network interface controllers (NICs) using FPGAs for hardware packet processing. Users can fully customise Shell components, including a Match/Action pipeline with features including Xilinx SDNet support and the P4 network programming language. The SmartNIC Shell is targeted at low-profile and standard-height BittWare boards using Xilinx UltraScale+ FPGAs. The initial release provides 1x 100GbE and DPDK host interaction through the PCIe Gen3 x16 interface. Rugged ARM Cortex-A9 Boards VersaLogic's new ARM-based embedded computers are built for real-world applications. They are not ARM "modules" or partial computers that require additional carrier or I/O boards to operate. VersaLogic's ARM-based products are fully-tested, fully-functioning single board computers with built-in I/O. The new i.MX6 line is production ready with: designed-in reliability, designed-in extreme temperature performance (-40° to +85°C), shock and vibration durability, 10+ year availability, US-based support, and plenty of on-board I/O. New Video: ECRIN Systems myOPALE from ECRIN Systems provides a simple solution for applications that need more I/O boards than can be fitted in a standard Industrial PC backplane. MIL-STD-1553 Mini PCIe Card Alta Data Technologies’ MPCIE2-1553 interface module is a 1-2 channel, dual redundant 1553 card supported by the latest software technologies. The MPCIE2-1553 is the Only Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Card that passes and can execute SAE AS4111/4112 protocol tests, and provides O-scope signal capture on the first 1553 channel. Other News... Hello and Goodbye We are very pleased to welcome Laura Hallsworth to the team. Laura H is taking over from Lynn as Finance Manager, as Lynn is leaving us to go and explore the world with her husband. Laura and Lynn will be working together until the end of April. Laura Biddiscombe has now been at Sarsen for 10 years, where she has worked with some wonderful people, and continues to support a lot of very exciting projects. The calendar was sold to raise money for the Bone Cancer Research Trust, a cause close to both her and Nigel's heart following the loss of a friend from the disease. Angela raised an amazing £1135.69, and we're all really proud of her! And Finally...
