Semester Start Checklist

Welcome back! For those of you teaching this Fall, here is a checklist you can use to make the transition from Summer research to Fall teaching a bit easier: 

  • Request your Canvas course and upload your syllabus at courses.brown.edu.
  • Copy or import content from last year’s Canvas course.
  • Add TAs and course designers to your Canvas site.
  • Activate your library E-Reserves. 
    Note: films take up to 2 weeks to re-activate.
  • Ask for help! Consult with ITG for in person support.
  • Refer to the Faculty Quickstart guide for additional resources.
 

CIS is happy to announce that Zoom web conferencing pro accounts are now available to students, faculty, and staff!  Zoom offers modern video and audio conferencing, meeting recording, screen sharing by multiple participants, and collaborative whiteboarding.  Learn more about Zoom here.
