VISIONS OF MIAMI DESIGN – THINKING OUT OF THE BOX
DawnTown, Miami’s International design competition, has pushed the envelope of innovation for seven years with entries of architects, artists, and designers from around the world. The annual architectural challenge is the feature story in this month’s issue of Biscayne Times by Helen Hill.
Among our faculty and friends in the article are Adjunct Professor Joachim Perez, DawnTown’s executive director; Allan Shulman; Jake Brillhart; Jean-Francois Lejeune; Terry Riley; and Manuel Clavel-Rojo. Jake and Manuel won the “Design/Build” competition in 2012 with the installation Evolution Miami. Up-Down-Town which went on exhibit at History Miami last March.
