EARTH-i December Newsletter 2017 No Images? Click here Earth-i say farewell to the prototype as it departs for launch December Newsletter 2017 is rapidly coming to an end and it's been quite a year for Earth-i. The last 12 months have proved to be an exciting ride and the ambitious targets we set ourselves in 2016 are quickly becoming a reality. Since our last newsletter we've commissioned, from our partners SSTL, the next five satellites in our new full-colour video constellation and sent our prototype service demonstrator satellite to Antrix in India for launch - both huge milestones in Earth-i's progress. We're also thrilled with our new Inside Earth-i video which stars a few members of our team. Take a look at the video which captures a few slices of the excitement that's building at our HQ in Guildford. The new year is shaping up to be even bigger and better, and we'd like to wish all our newsletter subscribers a prosperous 2018. We hope you enjoy our December newsletter. Best wishes, Richard Blain, Founder and CEO. SSTL packing the prototype ready for shipment Contents:

Two days in SpaceOwen Hawkins at the EO Showcase in Harwell Blog by Owen Hawkins, Product Development Director. In November, Owen attended both Reinventing Space and the EO Showcase on consecutive days. In his blog, Owen explains how these two events really sparked a 'light bulb' moment for him as he reviewed the dramatic changes within the industry over the last 10 years. #Copernicus4Energy - Another Opportunity for Earth ObservationDr Peter Hausknecht at the Copernicus for Energy Conference Blog by Dr Peter Hausknecht, Earth-i's Chief Scientist. The EU Copernicus programme hosted an industry workshop on ‘Copernicus 4 Energy’ ahead of the Copernicus user forum. Peter's blog explains how they explored the need for a reliable supply of very high-resolution data and how critical this data is for the success of commercial services. Read Peter's blog as he shares his thoughts on the meeting's outputs and the future of EO data in the energy sector. Earth-i EventsComing Up:
