Containing works shown for the first time in decades, if at all, this exhibition includes Himid’s visually arresting paintings, ceramics and works on paper, which challenge stereotypical depictions of black figures in art history. PREVIEW PARTY Join us for the premier tour of the exhibition with Head of Programme, Emma Ridgway. After the exhibition, stick around for a socially-inspired, politically-conscious sound system performance by artist Euton Daley, and celebrate the exhibition before it opens to the public the next day. THE MODERN ART OXFORD SHOP The gallery shop is offering 20% off selected stock. You can also pick up a bargain on the special £1, £5 and £10 tables for a limited time only!
