| Stakeholders demand more accountability |
|
The appetite for creating positive social and environmental change is bigger than ever as key stakeholders – consumers, boards, and investors - demand more accountability from business. The role of shared value as an effective and necessary business strategy is becoming more obvious to leaders across all sectors. As reinforced by this month’s Shared Value Champion, IAG’s David Harrington, competitiveness and positive social impact are mutually dependent.
Also, the recently released Responsible Investment Benchmark Report 2018 from the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) reinforces SVP’s experience that interest in investments that deliver positive social and environmental impact alongside financial return are clearly on the rise.
As the global movement grows, we extend a warm welcome to Bobbi Silten, new Managing Director of Shared Value Initiative in the US, and look forward to working with her to increase uptake of shared value worldwide.
