Coming Soon: Solutions That Work Webinar Series“Value” is the latest buzzword in NYS’s transition to Medicaid managed care for delivery of behavioral health services. In a nutshell, as a behavioral health provider, anything you do that improves the lives of the people you serve and reduces the need for preventable and costly behavioral and/or medical intervention is considered “valuable.” The challenge for providers is to achieve these objectives consistently and cost-effectively. We have gathered a group of innovative providers from across the state who have done just that, and we invite you to join them for 3 conversations on value solutions that work. MCTAC + is offering 3 “Solutions That Work” webinars focusing on proven implementation strategy in 3 essential solution orientations: Peer Services, Health Integration and Access and Engagement. We invite you to join us for a frank discussion with the leaders and innovators themselves. These webinars are intended for behavioral health executives, managers, direct care staff and anyone interested in applying solutions for meeting the value challenge. Stay tuned for registration information! Upcoming September Events*Register for upcoming events here! Part II: How do you help an organization become more Family-Driven? Family-Driven Care means families are expert partners in the care of their children and should have a primary role in making decisions about the care their family receives. Families that are engaged in treatment for their children and work in partnership with their child’s providers experience positive outcomes and are able to make more informed decisions. As a follow up to our last webinar, Family Driven Care 101, this webinar will focus on supporting organizations to become more family driven. The presenters will share the steps they took to ensure that their organization was family-driven. They will highlight specific principles of Family-Driven Care and how they can be applied to help other organizations move in that direction. Utilization Management for Children and Family Treatment and Support Services This one hour webinar will review Utilization Management for the three Children and Family Treatment and Support Services that are going live on January 1, 2019: Other Licensed Practitioner (OLP), Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) and Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR). Webinar topics will include continuity of care, authorization requirements, medical necessity, and documentation components.
