Click here The Coromandel "Lucky Loop" promo launches to encourage visitors backWith the Kōpū - Hikuai SH25A closed for the foreseeable future, Destination Hauraki Coromandel has launched a daring promotion to encourage Kiwis to take the coastal route of State Highway 25 and visit our tourism-reliant region more regularly. In the midst of the damaging weather events and road closures earlier in the year, DHC received a call from the Hahei Residents & Ratepayers Association. Marty O'Halloran, a generous Hahei local who leads global advertising agency DDB from his base in New York had offered support, which the Hahei community extended to the wider region. Together, DDB Aotearoa and members of the Hahei R&R wanted to do something immediately constructive to help give visitors confidence to travel back into our region. The Coromandel Lucky Loop is the work of the creative teams at DDB and Mango (communications agency), supported by Hahei businesses offering prizes for the promo winners. This coming Anzac long weekend – from Friday the 21st until Tuesday the 25th of April - any vehicle that drives SH25 Coromandel Loop will be in the draw. The Lucky Loop promotion uses cameras set up in secret locations from Thames to Waihi, and vehicles photographed at computer-generated random times will receive the corresponding prize. Details on the winners will be posted to luckyloop.co.nz after the weekend. How you can be involved. You can find the promotion on our Facebook and Instagram channels, if you haven't seen it already, so please give it a good nudge and share to your social channels. Remind friends, family and guests to visit www.luckyloop.co.nz to participate. The teams at DDB and Mango have pulled out all the stops and the promotion is displayed on billboards across Auckland (like the one above), online, radio and multiple media channels already. This is ad space and reach we could never afford as a region, and thanks to locals with a deep connection to our place and the wellbeing of our communities, we have a much higher profile. We’d like to acknowledge the Hahei community for their collegial spirit and for extending this opportunity to Hauraki Coromandel. |
