Rehabilitation of SH-22 over the Blue River Nears Completion

Construction is nearing completion on this bridge rehabilitation project in Bryan County for ODOT Division II. Improvements to the bridge included widening the clear roadway to 40ft; adding two beam lines; and replacing the existing steel beams, bearings, and deck. GUY's design also included roadway widening with overlay,

shoulders, guardrail, and slope stabilization, as well as improved signage and traffic control.
Rehabilitating rather than replacing a bridge provides safe transportation for our communities while at the same time offering tremendous cost savings. GUY's team members have designed 37 ODOT bridge rehabilitations in six divisions.

Congratulations, Chelsea!

Chelsea Harden is GUY's newest Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM). To achieve this nationally recognized certification, Chelsea had to pass a certification exam designed to measure competency in the basic principles of floodplain management. GUY now has six CFMs on staff to help you better understand and solve your floodplain issues.

Engineers' Week fun at GUY!

We had a good time time celebrating Engineers' Week this year! Highlights of the week included a visit to the Fab Lab, Pete Ellis speaking to high school students at the Tulsa Engineering Foundation E-Week Student Breakfast, and, of course, our company engineering competition. This year's challenge was to build a marble run that would keep a marble rolling the longest.

GUY is pleased to welcome Lori Acree and Dakota Blanchard to our work family! Many of you will remember Lori, who worked for GUY in the past. She returns as a Project Management Administrator/Facilities Coordinator.

Dakota is a Field Data Collection Technician who recently graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a GIS mapping degree. With Dakota's experience, we will be able to expand the GIS services we offer our clients.
