Notice of 2020 AGM &
MRBTA Board Elections 

Notice is hereby given that an Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association (MRBTA) will be held on Wednesday October 21st, 2020 from 17.30 at Black Brewing Co, 3517 Caves Rd, Wilyabrup WA 6280.

Special Resolution
The Explanatory Memorandum which accompanies and forms part of this Notice of Meeting, describes in more detail those matters to be considered at the AGM including amendments to the MRBTA Constitution which seek to improve MRBTA’s membership application process.

Members will therefore be asked to consider, and if thought fit, to pass, the following resolution as a special resolution: 

"It is resolved that, for the purposes of section 51 of the Associations Incorporation Act 2015, rules 5 & 18 of the Association's constitution and for all other purposes, the Association's constitution be amended as shown in mark-up in Annexure A of this Notice of Meeting"

Where a member is unable to attend the meeting, we encourage that member to appoint a proxy by completing and returning the enclosed Proxy Form to the Public Officer at least 72 hours before the commencement of the meeting (as per Rule 17H).  Completed proxy forms can be received by fax, email, mail or in-person: by 5.30pm on Monday 19th of October 2020.

Board Elections
MRBTA also wishes to advise that SEVEN (7) nominations have been received for the FOUR (4) vacancies that exist on the MRBTA Board of Directors.

Given there are more nominees than positions, an election will conducted via postal ballot with the results annouced at the AGM. 

The 2020 Board Election Pack is provided below. Please note postal ballots, and voting authorisation forms must be return it to the Public Officer  by 4.30pm on Wednesday 21st of October 2020 via fax, email, mail or in person.
