Click here New Town Retail Precinct UpgradeJuly UpdateCompleted and Current WorksRecent works around 98-100 New Town Road have resulted in the completion of a new pedestrian ramp and the installation of a fully irrigated planter bed and bespoke paving. Current works are focused on the reconstruction of
footpath and kerb around 112-118 New Town Road. The crews have also commenced the repair of the road shoulder and base. Upcoming worksJuly will see continued kerb and gutter works head along New Town Road, allowing the Metro bus stop to return to its original position at 110 New Town Road. Works will then move to the intersection of Pirie Street and New Town Road to focus on building a community node. The intersection upgrade will feature a resting place with improved seating, greenery, feature paving and improved pedestrian access. To undertake these works as safely and quickly as possible, there will be some changes to traffic and parking arrangements. These will be advised closer to the starting date.
