How Agents Can Take Advantage of Black Friday
Black Friday weekend marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. This can come to the detriment of real estate agents, as buyers may be more preoccupied with purchasing gifts than purchasing property. But there are steps agents can take to be as effective as possible this Black Friday:
Show homes, not open houses on Black Friday
Rather than putting on open houses to reach the masses, focus on individual clients on Black Friday weekend. The logic behind this tactic is simple: it is likely that only serious buyers and sellers will make an effort to look at properties during this time. Open houses are more likely to not be successful, because casual or moderately interested walk-ins are likely to forgo this activity to focus on other priorities (i.e. gift shopping) during this weekend.
