GSA Thesis BootcampThesis Bootcamp is a rigorous three-day writing weekend, with a different program of focused activities each day. It involves a lot of writing, but it’s
not all hard work – it includes relaxation, pampering, motivational talks, goal setting, and strategies for writing productively and for breaking fatigue and writer’s block. Support staff are on hand and catering is provided to ensure an encouraging, distraction-free environment. The next bootcamp is on Friday 20 – Sunday 22 Apr in Burnley.

GSA ‘Hump Day’ Lunches
Every Wednesday during the semester, join the Graduate Student’s Association for a cheap lunch in the grounds of the beautiful 1888 Building. From BBQs on beautiful days to soup lunches in the winter, they’re fuelling you through a gruelling Wednesday afternoon. FMAA Victoria presents our Asset Management Case Competition Want to test your data analysis and problem-solving skills in a real-world case? AMCC challenges students from all degree backgrounds to present a stock pitch in front of representatives from leading Asset Management firms. Team registrations close 15 Mar.

FASIC PhD Scheme
The FASIC PhD SCHEME supports PhD candidates’ mobility between France and Australia with the view to establish or consolidate individual connections between French and Australian research labs, and to create the conditions for new collaborative joint research projects to emerge or existing collaborations to strategically scale-up. The Scheme will cover the expense of one economy return airfare between major airports in Australia and France. PhD students from all fields of science, including humanities and social sciences are eligible.

The Faculty encourages students who are about to submit, or have recently submitted their thesis to consider applying for a PhD Internship. Stipends are available for the period of the internship and the Faculty offers the Specialist Certificate in Research Practice for Scientists which provides a framework to support the internship and a qualification in recognition of completion.
