COVID-19A note on Pfizer vaccine supply and participating in the vaccination programWe understand that many practices are eager to participate in the Pfizer vaccination program. However, due to supply and geographical constraints, only a small number of eligible practices have been allocated stock so far. The Department of Health developed an internal selection matrix and this has been used by the Department to allocate stock to practices so far. Please be assured that the selection process is not a reflection on the quality or ability of any practices, but purely a decision based on supply constraints. All expressions of interest in the Pfizer vaccination program to date have been passed onto the Department, and as more stock becomes available the Department will be progressively inviting more practices to join the Pfizer program Vaccine Eligibility Checker – in 15 languagesThe Vaccine Eligibility Checker is now available in 15 languages as well as English to help all Australians access the information they need to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Experts on-call provide support with your patients' mental health treatmentSEMPHN continues to partner with Monash Health to provide general practitioners with free access to secondary consultations with an experienced psychiatrist. You can access a free, 30-minute phone consultation during business hours to discuss your patient’s mental health, for example: diagnostic issues, medication options, developing safety plans and general management. This is a non-urgent service, and clinical responsibility for the patient remains with you (the treating GP).
