The Church of Ireland General Synod Board of Education warmly invites pupils, past pupils, parents, staff, and governors of The High School to join Dr Leo Varadkar, Minister for Social Protection, at a service of Choral Evensong to mark the opening of the academic year at St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin on Thursday, 22 September 2015 at 3.00 pm. The address will be given by Dr Tony Bates who is Chief Executive Officer of Headstrong. All are most welcome to attend this event.
Congratulations to Conor Empey (6EH) who represented Ireland under 18 boys in the under 21 Hockey Interpro Competition last weekend.
Congratulations to Ruby Keating Levins (6GF) who represented The High School on the Under 18s Ireland Girls' Sevens Rugby team in their matches against France.
These awards will be presented to pupils at the Prize Distribution Evening, on Wednesday, 26 October, 2016. They are awarded to pupils in Forms 3 to 6 who have shown initiative. For further details click HERE
The stationery office is open at set times during the week. Here is a little reminder of when you can visit.
Four times a week, pupils at the High School Dublin are offered the opportunity to attend supervised study from 4pm - 6pm. For further details click HERE.
The Simon Community Fun Run takes place this year on Saturday 1 October at 10.00am in the Pheonix Park. So dust off your running shoes and join the most successful fundraising team in the school. For more information about this really worthwhile cause, see Ms Hutchinson Edgar in A22.
Down Syndrome Ireland have been in touch and would like to acknowledge with gratitude the outstanding contribution from The High School for the amount of €207 to the HB Ice Cream Fundays Campaign. Well done, everyone!
Would you like to join The High School's Model United Nations team? At Model United Nations (MUN) pupils represent a country and we discuss global issues affecting the world today. It’s a great way to make new friends and improve public speaking. MUN is on after school on Tuesdays in B21. All Forms are welcome. Contact Ms Beamish for more details.
Please note an important amendment to the school calendar. The Parents' Evening Prize-Giving Evening will now take place on Wednesday, 26 October and not on 19 October as previously publicised.
Our Open Evening is drawing ever closer, so make sure that you have made a note of it in your diary. It takes place on Wednesday 21 September at 6.30pm and all incoming 2018 pupils are especially welcome to attend. We hope to see you there!
