As always, please get in touch with my office if you would like further information about any grants you may choose to apply for.Good luckPat Shortland Stronger Communities Grant ProgrammeAmount: $2,500 - $20,000 Expressions of interest are open for the Shortland Stronger Communities Programme with $150,000 available to fund small capital projects that improve local community participation and contribute to vibrant viable communities. Bankwest Easy GrantsAmount: $1,000 The first 20 Easy Grant applications received each month that meet the entry criteria will be up for public vote. The three groups with the highest number of votes will receive $1,000 each. The remaining groups will receive $200 each. If your application falls beyond the first 20 received, we'll automatically include you in the next available month's voting period. We'll be in touch once your application progresses to the voting stage. Voting runs for one month starting from the first Monday of each month, and closing on the last Thursday of each month. ClubGRANTS Scheme NSWAmount: Not disclosed ClubGRANTS funding is available to community groups, charities and sporting teams across NSW. Approximately 500 clubs voluntarily allocate funds to the ClubGRANTS scheme. Funding is available under three separate categories: Category 1: Supports community welfare and social services; community development; employment assistance activities; community health services; and projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people. Category 2: Provides funding for general community development and support activities, such as junior sport. Category 3: Is a state-wide fund that supports large-scale community infrastructure projects, such as hospitals and sporting facilities. Lake Macquarie City Council - Design public art ping pong tables at Warner’s Bay & Speers Point CompetitionAmount: $500 Budding designers across Lake Macquarie are being urged to bring their creativity to the table to be in the running for cash prizes and city-wide recognition. Lake Macquarie City Council is seeking public submissions to design colour “skins” for two custom-made steel table tennis tables to be installed on the foreshore at Warners Bay and outside Council’s Speers Point administration building. Entry is open to any age and ability, from kids hand-drawing their designs to accomplished designers using software programs such as InDesign. The two winning designers will have their name inscribed permanently on their table. For more information: Click here NSW Local Sport Defibrillator Grant ProgramAmount: $1,900 The Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program assists sporting clubs across NSW in the purchase and maintenance of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). An AED is a life saving device which delivers a controlled shock to an individual experiencing cardiac arrest, increasing their chances of survival. For more information: Click here NSW Organics Infrastructure Grants Program Stream 3: Food DonationAmount: $10,000 and $500,000 This stream provides infrastructure and equipment such as refrigerated vans and freezers to food relief agencies to increase their capacity to safely collect and redistribute surplus food to people in need. This program is being delivered through a partnership between the NSW Environmental Trust and Environment Protection Authority under Waste Less, Recycle More. Image courtesy of Lake Macquarie City Art Council The Regional Cultural Fund supports the development of cultural infrastructure in regional NSW that enables bold, exciting and diverse arts and cultural activities. Through the Fund, regional arts aim to strengthen screen, culture and heritage, and revitalise local communities through strategic investment. The round will offer applicants a share in $47 million in funding, including up to $5 million specifically for regional public library infrastructure projects, and support for the creation and installation of artist-led public art.
