Check out our new interactive Major Planner. You can pick a major (by name or associated career) and then the tool will help you choose your level 3 major subjects, and then take you step-by-step backwards through the choices of pre-requisite level 2 and level 1 subjects. You can then save or print your personalised major pathway. Science and Technology Internship subjectThe 12.5 point subject Science and Technology Internship subject will be offered again during Semester Two 2018 at both undergraduate and masters level. Where: Elisabeth Murdoch - G06 – Elisabeth Murdoch Theatre The aim of this session is to provide you with an understanding of what you might achieve in this subject and how it differs from other subjects. Prof Hergt will provide you with detailed information, take you through the timeline of key activities in the lead up to Semester Two 2018, and outline the support you can access to organise your placement. Bring along your friends who may also be interested in this subject!
Metcalf Scholarships for undergraduate research placementsMetcalf Scholarships support outstanding undergraduates to train with medical researchers at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute. Metcalf Scholars provide $6000 funding ($1000 paid to the student, $5000 paid to the lab for research costs) in addition to the salary paid to undergraduate students at the Institute. Application deadline: Friday 23 March. More info here. AINSE Postgraduate Research Awards (PGRA) ScholarshipsPost-graduate Research Awards (PGRA) are offered by AINSE Limited (the Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering) for suitably qualified
persons wishing to undertake studies in AINSE's fields of interest for a higher degree at an AINSE member university. Applications will be received up to 15 April. The award provides a stipend of $7,500 p.a. and a generous travel and accommodation allowance to enable students to work at ANSTO facilities. More info here.
