On Thursday 17 September, CheckUP's workforce team were invited for the launch of Kelvin Grove State College's Health Simulation Centre, which also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with CheckUP officially engaging KGSC as the first Health Gateway School in Metropolitan Queensland.
The school's training centre is equipped with modern equipment such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, hoists and manikins (medical simulation dummies) enabling students to gain hands-on training aligned with their vocational studies in health. The school will continue to work in collaboration with CheckUP, Axiom College and other key industry stakeholders to further develop resources and opportunities to support student learning and pathways into
the health industry.
