Carter County Ribbon Cutting

A ribbon cutting was held on August 27 to celebrate the resurfacing of 3.7 miles of Carter St SE in Carter County. The $688,000 project was funded through a partnership between Carter County, the City of Ardmore, and the Chickasaw Nation.
Have you ever wanted to participate in an American burying beetle survey? Now is your chance! The 2018 Oklahoma Bioblitz will be held October 5-7 at Greenleaf State Park right in the heart of the ABB Conservation Priority Area. GUY's own Stephanie Rainwater, a federally permitted ABB specialist, will be at the event leading a survey effort.
If bugs aren't your thing, there are a lot of other family-friendly activities planned, including hiking, birding, drone demos, and more.
