#KIDSOUTOFBARWON / Detaining children in adult prison unlawful: Supreme Court rules against Victorian Government

As a society we should never give up on our kids. In an important win for our legal team, children's rights and Victoria's Charter of Human Rights, the Supreme Court ruled earlier this month that it was unlawful for the Victorian Government to lock up children in a maximum security adult jail.​ It took four legal actions, but the Government finally did the right thing and moved all children out of Barwon prison and into lawful age-appropriate youth justice facilities.
