By Ela Kini,
Community Studio Facilitator

All communication is an act of translation.
How do your favorite artworks use color to communicate? How can you translate that meaning into words? As you create, pay attention to the feeling attached to each color or word, as well as combined palettes and phrases.

Color me interested! Check out Where Colors Do the Talking, a poetry & visual art Community Studio hosted by Mentor Danielle Chery & Mentee Ela Kini on Thursday, Dec. 18 at 7 PM ET!

SPECIAL EVENT

Literature to Life: Fahrenheit 451

Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, 2-4 PM ET, In-person
Girls Write Now Headquarters
247 W 37th Street, 10th Floor, New York City

An eerily relevant tale for our times, Literature to Life in partnership with Girls Write Now presents Fahrenheit 451. Actor Rich Orlow tells the classic dystopian story through protagonist Guy Montag’s eyes, seamlessly transforming into five other key characters. Bradbury’s vision of a society awash in information yet devoid of critical thought offers audiences a sobering reflection of our own world, and a glimmer of hope for its future. Performed by Rich Orlow; adapted and Directed by Wynn Handman.

Open to all mentors, mentees, members & the public.
