Join us in Supporting National Nurses Week

Texas Home Visiting recognizes Nurse-Family Partnership nurses and all nurse home visitors for the important role they play in early childhood development. We celebrate you for supporting childhood milestones, informing parents about having a healthy pregnancy and beyond, and encouraging parents to achieve their own goals.

National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6 and ends on May 12, Florence Nightingale's birthday. Nightingale is considered the founder of modern nursing. Also, as of 2003, National School Nurse Day is celebrated on the Wednesday within National Nurses Week each year.

Each year, Health Resources and Services Organization (HRSA) recognize the invaluable work of nurses during National Nurses Week. Nurses are the first line of defense in the prevention of illness and injury. They champion and promote the health of our nation.
