Post-classic, two-stroke racing with GP Originals No images? Click here Brake lever guardsYou may be seeing lots of messages about brake lever guards, advice up until this point has been that we do not require them in our own dedicated races. The ACU has recently amended their handbook to now only permit this exception for ‘classic and vintage’ – our post-classic machines it appears will now require brake lever guards. We are suggesting you purchase one to avoid any problems during scrutineering at different clubs. The guards are also mandatory for all track days even for classic and vintage machines. Rain lights at this point, we are told are not mandatory. GP Originals discountPDQ Precision make our superb jet holder plates and have now also designed and manufactured a brake lever guard. There are many cheap options available if you prefer, however, we’ve already managed to snap one of those moving the bike in the garage! The PDQ guards are substantially made, they have a cam that allows adjustment to bring the guard closer to the lever. They have a stress point that allows it to snap in a crash with the aim of avoiding damage to hands.
