This week has seen Air Warfare Destroyer designer and Original Equipment Manufacturer Navantia finally brought into the shipbuilding management team, with the aim of maximising the program's performance.

The all singing and dancing Innovation and Science roadshow was kicked off this week by the Prime Minister and the agenda announced will go some way towards assisting defence SMEs to get their products to market.

ADM Editor Katherine Ziesing confirms the Combat System Integrator (CSI) program contract will also cover future CSI work on the Collins class and we listened to what policy wonks Michael Fullilove and Tom Switzer (joined by the accomplished author Anna Funder) had to say about A Larger Australia and shirtfronting.

ADM's annual Top 40 Defence contractors listing will be out next month, and the 44th edition of our Defence Suppliers Directory is ready to be viewed here

Finally, this will be ADM’s last Defence Week Premium for the year. The next issue will be on 14 January. In the meantime we thank you for your continued support for the publication and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

Katherine Ziesing, Patrick Durrant and our contributors Julian Kerr, Nigel Pittaway and Philip Smart with publisher Judy Hinz and designer Lauren Esdaile.
