From The Editor's Desk
Racing season! We've got a ton of cool stuff coming up, and personally I'm excited to kick off some of the dust. I miss y'all (and I hate the conjunction "y'all", so that means a ton) and it's gonna be awesome. That excitement drove (pun very intended) the choice for this month's cover photo, with a massive grin on driver, passenger, and bumper, just like I'll be sporting behind my mask.

Note From The RE
It’s pretty crazy that this is the first month I’ve been able to say this...but… As you’re reading this, we’re actually racing! Our first two events are happening this weekend at Dallastown. If you’re there, you will be able to actually talk to me, and if you’re not, I hope to see you at next weekend’s events at the Farm Show Elmerton lot.
Once we have some updates as to how these events have gone, we’ll be sure to let you know. I’m thinking of doing a Facebook live event within the next week or so. I hope that all of you are doing well and staying safe. This has been a pretty
horrible year so far, and we’ve all been affected by this in one way or another. As I mentioned before, I too am struggling. But, as our Editor, Jake mentioned last month, if you’re having trouble, reach out to someone! If you’d like to reach out to me, I’m here! Keep It Classy, Susquehanna

Susquehanna Region - COVID-19 GuidelinesPlease make sure to read the below document regarding the policies and guidelines we have in place for any upcoming events we have during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have used input from other Regions, as well as SCCA National’s guidelines they have made available to us. If you have any questions on this, please make sure you reach out to me by email - mmauro@scca-susq.com.
Farm Show Is Back!By Chris Brown Have you missed the double header events at the Farm Show that have been a staple in Susquehanna Region SCCA solo competition for decades?!
Are you new to the region and have no idea what I am talking about?! Either way, I have some great news for you!! As of July 25th, we are back for solo competition at the Farm Show Complex, baby! This is one of the bigger lots that we have available to us in the region, and many friendly rivalries and memories have been built here. Although we aren’t on the Cameron St. lot that we once were, our expert course designer Rob Springer is sure to create something that is both fun, and challenging. Please note that we are now going to be running on the Elmerton lot. I hope to see you there, and hope to build more (socially distant) memories with all of
you!
I Can't Believe It's Finally Here!By Nick Landis
After a much too lengthy break, we are finally back to racing with the first event coming up on August 1st at the Farm Show complex. We, unfortunately, had to cancel 3 events this season and so far have been able to reschedule 2 of those events including a date on September 26th. A lot has happened over the past few months to keep myself busy with the birth of a new RallyCross/RallySprint racer and I am looking forward to being able to bring her to her first event, but due to everything going on it might be a while before that can happen. During the downtime, we have been busy looking for new venues to have events and I am happy to announce that we have found a perfect spot. Later this year we will be hosting our first
event at our newly acquired venue, Rausch Creek Motorsports Park in Pine Grove, Pa. This site will be able to be host to RallyCross events as well as RallySprint events. We are excited about this new venue as it can offer a venue free of complaints from neighbors as there are none nearby. It also gives a different perspective as we will be racing in the woods, with appropriately safe distances from the trees of course. This will give our RallyCross competitors a view like they were competing in a stage rally event, while being as safe as in a normal RallyCross event. Since we will be able to host RallySprint events, you will finally have a stepping stone to bump up your skill levels and get to your goals of running full stage rally if that is your desire or you can stay at the level of your own comfort. I hope
that everyone has prepped their cars properly and fixed that broken (Insert typical Subaru part here) and is ready to race on August 1st and I will see you then.
July Regional MeetingThis month’s membership meeting will be for the Board members and the Program Chairs ONLY. We haven’t determined if this will be an in person or virtual meeting yet, but the members who will be attending will be notified via email. Keep an eye out for the meeting Minutes as they are posted online.
Staying Updated with SCCA NationalYou can stay informed on a National level with SCCA’s dedicated COVID-19 page here.
Track Night: Not Just About DrivingJUL 8, 2020 — Track Night in America Driven by Tire Rack isn't just for people who want to get behind the wheel and go fast. It's for anyone who wants to have a great time at the racetrack and be a part of a fantastic event.
Participation means a lot of things to a lot of different people. Some of us can't imagine going to a Track Night without getting out on track. For others, the cost, wear and tear or risk to their car keep them from driving more than they'd like. (Editor's note: if the risk to your vehicle is the only hold-up, don't forget our friends at Hagerty can help!) And, believe it or not, there are plenty of people who love motorsports that would rather spend time helping out in the paddock than get behind the wheel.
Runoffs 2020 Competitor and Worker Reg Is OpenJUL 14, 2020 — The Oct. 3-11 SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® at Road America creeps ever closer. And while the Sports Car Club of America® Road Racing season seems to have only just restarted, it’s now time for Runoffs competitors and volunteers to register for the 57th running of this annual
championship event.
At A Glance: '20 Mid-Ohio Hoosier Super TourJUL 16, 2020 — For the past several years it was June when Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour visited Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio -- which is located about midway between Cleveland and Columbus. This year, however, the Mid-Ohio stop takes place in the middle of July. Why? Well, there was a Mid-Ohio
calendar issue involving a pro racing series that was addressing a TV schedule conflict around the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics and … none of that matters anymore thanks to a pandemic. Be it June or July, Hoosier Super Tour racing at Mid-Ohio will be hot -- and SCCA is so happy to be back at the event hosted annually by Ohio Valley Region.
