Adii Pienaar.

In one word: WOW.

The launch week of my book has been an exhilarating experience. So much so that I burnt out by Thursday afternoon last week and had to step away from the computer, all of the conversations across my social media and checking sales stats. 😇

I've shared some learnings and anecdotes from Week 1 below, but before I get into those: Today is the last day that you can get the Kindle version of Life Profitability for only $0.99 (tomorrow it'll be $8.99).

Click here to buy your copy now.

In measuring the impact of Week 1, I can share that we smashed through our targets and Life Profitability also became an Amazon bestseller within the first 48 hours.

Part of what made Week 1 a success is an initial batch of podcast interviews that have been published (I'm keeping a list of all of them here), getting advance readers of the book to review it and receiving feedback like this from readers.

That said, here are my four major takeaways

  1. I have amazing friends, including many of you reading this. (Thank you!) So many people have helped out by buying a copy, reviewing it on Amazon, inviting me to their podcasts or sharing my book on their social channels.
  2. When you do the prep, goals can be exceeded. Most of the hard work for launch week happened in the weeks prior. Week 2 and onwards will now require new work, but it's built on the foundation of the original prep work.
  3. It is possible to burn out in 3 short days. 72 hours from launch to a mild burnout. I tried to do too much in a single week and adrenaline only takes one that far.
  4. Adding a unique perspective to any conversation will get better engagement. My hot take on why work-life balance is flawed has already sparked quite a few conversations.

I now look forward to continuing the drumbeating for the ideas that I've now put out into the world and will share updates here often.

I'll also be switching gears slightly so that my primary focus is back to growing my new SaaS startup, Cogsy, where I have some exciting updates to share too. (My commitment is still to build Cogsy in public.)

Thanks again for your attention and support.

Rock on 🤘
