It is an exciting time here at Social Value UK, as alongside hosting our annual Members Exchange, this month we also welcomed two new CEO's to the team - Crispen Sachikonye and Isabelle Parasram. You can hear more about their journey to SVUK here.
Here's a short video from Isabelle on her move to SVUK!
Thank you so much for attending the SVUK Members Exchange last week! It was great to see so many of our members and hear about the amazing work you are doing. Here's what our Interim Membership Manager, Rosie Sparrow, had to say about the event:
"This years members exchange was a great success! We held 20 sessions with over 30 speakers. This year we decided to hold the event online and spread the sessions across 4 days, to allow for greater participation. We covered a wide range of topics and most of the sessions were hosted by our members. All the sessions were really thought provoking and led to some great discussions. Thank you to everyone that attended and took part in the members exchange to make it such an amazing event!" As always, your feedback is much appreciated! Please take our 2021 Members Exchange survey to help us improve next year's event - it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes of your time.
If you attended and want to catch up, you can watch the recordings via HeySummit. These will be available for the next 30 days, so there is plenty of time to browse! Don't worry, if you were unable to attend but would like to watch back any of the sessions, get your replay ticket here!
Small Charity Week: Finally, as part of Small Charity Week, we hosted Small Charity Big Impact Day. The day was filled with Q&A's, social media competitions and learning webinars - it was excellent to see so many of our Civil Society members come along!
To continue to encourage the great work small charities are doing, we are offering a three month free trial of our membership to small Civil Society organisations! All you have to do is confirm you're a social purpose organisation with a turnover under £500,000 and fill out this short form. Don't miss out!
Assurance: Our next assurance round will be running from July 5th - 16th, with a focus on Report Assurance. Prep reports in advance to make sure you don't miss out!

Last month marked the end of the StudEnts fight food and packaging waste throuGh entrepreneurial education and Game-baSed learning (EGGS) Project. SVUK worked with an international team of teachers and experts in food and packaging waste to develop an innovative educational model for students. The main deliverable was a free educational video game which seeks to inform students on environmental issues, specifically those of food and food packaging waste. To download the video game please click here.
- The project also produced a Guide to Youth Activism, covering a variety of practical ways in which children can make a difference to the environment through actions at home, at school and in the community. Information on the methodology the project used to quantify the value of environmental outcomes is available here.
