KAT WINS TOP AWARD

Her class participants can already vouch for her, but Mitchell Leisure Services fitness and health supervisor Kathryn McDonald (pictured) can now officially lay claim to be the best aqua instructor in all of Australia.

Kat, as she is widely known, was crowned the Victorian AUSTSWIM WETS Instructor of the Year at a virtual event last month, before also being announced as the national champion later in the evening.

Aqua classes are one of Mitchell Shire Leisure Services most popular, with Kat’s classes regularly booked out.

Engagement policy input wanted

We’ve prepared a draft policy to help guide our approach to community engagement and we’re keen to get your input. The policy is a requirement of the new Local Government Act and sets out the principles of engagement, why we engage and when we engage. It supports the Community Engagement Framework which was adopted in 2018. We have a few short questions to share your thoughts about the policy. You can also provide more extended feedback if you prefer.

Input closes 9am, Monday 11 January 2021
