CUBE's year in review We've had a really busy year in CUBE and can't believe we're wrapping up 2016 already. We thought it would be nice to recap on what has been a year of monumental changes. Continue reading if you want to join us on a quick trip down memory lane.Activation of New Brand It has been exactly a year since we revealed our new branding to the public for the first time. Re-branding has been a slow process - physically replacing and recovering everything that featured our old logo and making internal changes also. Since launching our new and stronger brand identity we've experienced a noticeable increase in the public's awareness of CUBE, which has led to new customers. We hope this will continue into the new year and beyond. We'd like to thank Tony and his team at 2020bmv for guiding us through the entire re-branding process. Marking our Anniversary with Staff This artwork was crafted to mark CUBE's 20th anniversary in business and some of the people who made it possible. Each person currently employed in CUBE is featured. Hopefully in another 20 years there will be many more hands to add in. 'A successful team is a group of many hands and one mind.' Farewells and WelcomesWe said farewell to Bridget O'Leary in August after 12 years as Financial Controller in CUBE, she was an undeniable asset to the company. James Maloney resumed Bridget's position in September and also took on the responsibility of Operations Manager. He has quickly become part of the CUBE family and has already made a very positive impact on the company.Investments and Expansion We invested heavily in CUBE this year. We've been upgrading our machinery, expanding our warehousing facilities, refurbishing offices and streamlining our production floor. Brendan Ring, CUBE's MD says "in the print industry you have to keep re-investing because things change so quickly. It is very important for us to stay ahead of the curve and keep up with the latest equipment and technology that’s out there.” We're looking forward to further improvements in the New Year. 20 Year CelebrationsWe celebrated our 20th birthday with our customers, suppliers and friends on November 18th with an open house and charity day in conjunction with Limerick's Live 95fm's 95 Stop Tour. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to give our customers an insight into how their products are produced and to show them our facilities. Our visitors enjoyed the sweet treats and hot lunches served up by Morrisson's Bar and Kitchen while they were here. Thanks to everyone for coming, celebrating with us and donating to to 3 fantastic charities. Check out our video from the day below. Check out our video from the day below. Irish Print Awards 2016 In November we were nominated for two awards at the Irish Print Industry Awards 2016. The ceremony was held in the Crowne Plaza hotel in Dublin and was bustling with many of Ireland's most successful people in the print industry. Unfortunately we didn't come home with an award but we are honoured to have been recognised by our peers. We hope for better luck next year! Christmas is a time for giving..We are proud corporate partners of Cliona’s Foundation, a Limerick based charity who provide financial assistance to families caring for a child with a life limiting illness. This Christmas our designers and printers assisted the charity with a limited edition cookbook. The Cook Book is a novel initiative by the Multi National company Cook Medical and in particular their endoscopy division. The Cook Book is beautifully illustrated with 47 recipes supplied by Cook Medical staff, giving a flavour of global cuisine. If you would like to support Cliona's Foundation this Christmas please click on their logo to take you to their donation page or email phil@clionasfoundation.ie to get your copy of the Cook Book for €10.Start planning 2017 with our wall planners and calendars Our 2017 wall planners, desktop scribble pads and calendars are available in reception now, complimentary of course.
