Monthly Newsletter | April 2021
Dear WIT@UCSF Community, There aren't words to describe the shock and disappointment we feel at the continued hatred and violence that is aimed at the AAPI members of our communities. This is not okay. No one deserves to live in fear. We stand with our brothers and sisters and offer support and love. While we understand that the problem needs to be addressed at the root, and recognize this will not solve it, for anyone who could benefit from a self-defense workshop hosted by the UCSF PD, here are the details below.
Empowering our Asian Community:
Self Defense & Safety Tips Webinar (free)In response to the recent attacks against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in our community, UCSF PD is hosting a 2 hour webinar on Self Defense and Safety Tips on Thursday, April 15 from noon-2pm.
Warmly,
WIT@UCSF Leadership Team
Ana Buenaventura, Kat Li, Sarah Ngo, Suria Sadat, & Alyssa Tecklenburg
