Prompt of the Week

From Christina Olivares, Author and
Girls Write Now Friday Night Salon Artist

Make a list of spaces that feel safe to you. Choose one of the spaces from your list and draw or map the space on the page. Then, write couplets speaking back to that space.

Poetry gives us the flexibility we need to dive in, play with language, and make new meaning of what matters most to us. Let your imagination run wild with prompts created by Girls Write Now Friday Night Salon Artist Christina Olivares, author of No Map of the Earth Includes the Stars.
