Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan, the bloodiest battle the Australian Army saw during the Vietnam War. Memorial ceremonies in Brisbane and Canberra will mark the occasion with fly overs and remembrance parades. In Defence Industry news, there were a number of announcements this week including contracts for Saab to upgrade the RBS-70 and Meggitt to expand the training capability of the WTSS with new weapons.
