Despite the challenges faced through another year of lockdowns and virtual operations, the Records & Information team continued to achieve a great deal in supporting the University’s commitment to effective and compliant management of University records to enable research, learning and teaching, engagement and administration. Here are a few of our 2021 highlights:
- Publication of fresh web content, including our new Disposal Advice and Records Managed SharePoint (RMSP) pages on our website
- We hosted our first virtual Records Management Network meeting – and we can’t wait to see our network in-person in 2022!
- Nearly 3,000 contracts were registered in the University Legal Agreements Register
- The team created over 150 new RMSP sites to enhance compliant & collaborative working across the University
- We worked with our colleagues across the Legal & Risk portfolio to enhance the University’s capability to comply with new legislation such as Australia’s Foreign Relations (State and Territory Arrangements) Act 2020.
- We partnered with Digital Stewardship (Research) on the preservation of University records. This includes an integration between front-end business and preservation systems, and improvements to digital
preservation services.
- We also supported the cross-institutional Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) Institutional Underpinnings Program. The $65,000 grant provided to the University will support improvements to research data retention processes, management of sensitive data and open data initiatives.
The Records & Information team would like to thank you for your continued engagement and flexibility during 2021 and we look forward to working with you in 2022.
