It’s Summer time!!!
As kids, we counted down the days, hours, minutes and then the seconds for school to end and summer to begin. New adventures with friends and family, late nights and sleeping in were awaiting. Great new memories! Oh, to be a kid again!!
For our “Kiddo’s”, it is often expressed that childhood cancer steals their childhood; takes away the time to enjoy new adventures and create new friends. Not if Keaton’s Child Cancer Alliance and friends can help it.
Being summer, KCCA is honored to highlight one such friend, Funderland Amusement Park.
For more than 5 years Funderland Amusement Park owners, John & Ashley Edds, have warmly welcomed our families in each summer to allow our Kiddo’s to have fun being a child. When doors normally close to the public, Funderland re-opens them at no cost one summer night each year for our families. This year more than 300 of our Kiddo’s and their families were able to build beautiful memories together, meet and make new friends (both kiddo’s and parents), ride the rides and simply have fun! There is no better therapy!!
If you have not been or it’s been awhile, please go and enjoy this wonderful Sacramento treasure, Funderland Amusement Park.
On behalf of all of us at KCCA and, most importantly, our families, thank you for being such a dear friend.
