Click here This year's The Business of Events programme invites senior leaders, government officials and stakeholders from across the UK to discuss and debate a number of topics, including the opportunities surrounding the government's recently announced Tourism Sector Deal and the international Business Events Action Plan. The flagship event, The Business of Events Senior Leadership Forum and Reception, will take place at a new venue, The Mermaid London, Blackfriars on the 6th November and will be attended by approximately 200 senior industry leaders from across the sector. The agenda for this event will be published in mid-October. Taking place on the 7th November is The Business of Events Parliamentary Debate, which returns to Portcullis House and is followed by The Business of Events Senior Leadership Dinner at 10 - 11 Carlton House Terrace, Westminster. The Business of Events Wales Leadership Forum will be hosted at the recently opened ICC Wales, Newport on 12th November. The event will attract over 100 delegates from across the business events community in Wales to hear more about a range of topics including the future direction of the country’s business events sector. The Business of Events Global Policy & Practice Forum, the first international event in the campaign, will take place ahead of IBTM World on 18th November at the brand-new Hotel Seventy, Barcelona. The event will focus on the Medical/Healthcare sector and provide a platform for destinations, policymakers and medical meetings planners to discuss key issues and encourage governments to support the business events sector globally. The last event of the programme will take place at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, where the country’s key stakeholders will gather for The Business of Events Scotland Senior Leadership Dinner on 26th November.
