The High School were slow to start in the first half and conceded a goal just 10 minutes before half time. However, just 8 minutes from full time, Harry Lynch's drag flick was blocked on the goal line by a St Andrew's College player resulting in a penalty stroke which Alistair Empey calmly converted. The match ended a 1-1 which meant a period of extra time resulting in a couple of chances before Andrew Canning secured the victory with a cool finish from a short corner in the final minute. It was truly an historic game and one that will be remembered for many years to come. An Evening of Stunning DramaCongratulations to the Senior Drama cast and crew for their thought-provoking and emotional production of 'Last Class on Monday' performed recently at a local theatre festival. A large group of pupils - current and past - teachers and parents were in attendance in support of our fine players. There was not a dry eye in the house by the end of the play so wonderful and poignant were the performances. Thanks to everyone involved for a wonderful and entertaining night. French QuizOn Thursday 2 February the French Teachers' Association quiz took place at Loreto College, St Stephen's Green. The quiz lasted about three hours and consisted of ten rounds in French on topics such as French music, sport, and culture. There were four Form 5 pupils on our team. While prizes proved to be elusive the team performed well and had a most enjoyable night speaking French and making new friends.
