QSI Parents, As the end of January approaches, I would like to make you aware of some upcoming events. Next week is Spirit Week here at QSI. We hope that all students participate every day to show their school spirit. It all starts with Crazy Sock Day on Monday. Wednesday will be our Homecoming Game against Malvern Prep. Parents are invited to join all our students on the big basketball court at 3:00PM. Wearing QSI Red and Black is your ticket into the game. Friday is our school dance, the winter Snow Ball. More information about all our Spirit Week activities is later in this newsletter. Swim Team is on the horizon, and our high school soccer teams and middle school basketball teams are off and running. Our super spellers and math bowl participants are readying for their competitions. It's a busy time of year around here for Red Eagle Pride! Yours sincerely, Kurt Evan Rix Dear Parents, It is hard to believe it is already the end of January! This week has been full of freezing weather and fantastic field trips. Our 6YO's have explored the totem poles in American Gardens, many of our 5YO's went to study and build machines out of Legos, and some of the 4YO classes learned about potential careers at the Be Me studio. I know many other classes have field trips scheduled in the weeks to come and I look forward to hearing about all their adventures! We also are excited to be welcoming Mr. James Rehberg to Chengdu as our new interim director in the coming days. I would like to take a moment, however, to thank and recognize my fellow Director of Instruction, Kurt Rix, for his hard work and effort these past few weeks serving as our first interim director. He has done a great job making sure QSI Chengdu got off to a great start in 2018! Wishing you a wonderful weekend, Many of our secondary three students have already registered for the spring SAT but if your student has not, please remind them to do so on the College Board website. On Saturday, March 10, 2018, all secondary three students should be taking the SAT. They can choose whether or not they would like to take the SAT or the SAT with Essay. Students must register through the College Board website and must register by February 9. Please have your student see Ms. Zoromski in the counseling office if they have any questions. |
