Friends of the Guelph Public Library Book Sale

The ever-popular community book sale will be returning this fall for its fifteenth year! This cash-only sale will be held at the same location as last year at 69 Huron Street from Wednesday, September 20 to Sunday September 24, 2023. As always, our goal is to serve the community by offering a selection of good quality used books, games, puzzles, DVDs and vinyl records at affordable prices.

Join members of the Wellington County Branch, Ontario Ancestors who will help you discover your family’s story. Register for Family History: Researching Land Records held in the Main Library on Saturday, September 16 at 2 p.m.

During this introductory session, become familiar with the process of finding records pertaining to land ownership in Wellington County. We will look at resources found in the Guelph Public Library as well as resources available online. You might even use this new knowledge to research one of your own ancestral homes!

If you’re looking for homework help, Tutor.com offers live help with school work, essay writing and test preparation every day from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. If you are researching information for school projects, try Primary Search. This database contains encyclopedia entries, magazines, pictures and videos. For students looking for help with computer programming, image editing or video production, LinkedIn Learning has video tutorials for everything you need. Taking a second language course?
