Community grants recipients announced
The SA Arid Lands NRM Board is funding almost $100,000 for 14 projects across the region as part of its 2019/20 Community Grants Projects. Twenty-nine applications were received, totalling more than $200,000.

Revised Water Allocation Plan consultation
Written submissions will soon be invited for the revised Far North Water Allocation Plan, which will open for consultation in August. Copies of the revised plan will be available from our website and drop-in sessions will be held in the region.

Landscape SA Bill introduced to Parliament

Return of nature's eco-system engineers
Echidna numbers appear to be on the increase at Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park. Monitoring cameras used by park rangers are capturing a greater number of animals and a marked increase in echidna diggings has been noticed.

Marree-Innamincka NRM Group sets priorities
The Marree-Innamincka NRM Group worked on planning its priorities for the coming year at its May meeting at Innamincka. The meeting also incorporated a Strategic Management Planning session for Coongie Lakes and was attended by local residents and representatives of the district’s pastoral properties.
