Salamanca Pedestrian Improvements

July Update

Works update

Upgrade works in Salamanca Place have been progressing well. The reconstruction of the kerb line on the Salamanca Lawns side of Castray Esplanade has been finished. Our crews are now getting ready to relocate to the opposite side of Castray Esplanade in front of Princes Wharf 1 to remove and reconstruct the kerb line there.

Traffic management

From Tuesday 30 July there will be some changes in the positioning of barriers and construction infrastructure, however the current arrangement for vehicle traffic to move through the area will remain.

While the barriers are physically being moved there will be some minor disruptions to the traffic flow.  The following changes will also be implemented:

  • The exit from the Murray Street Pier car park will be closed. Entry and exit will be via the existing entry.
  • The PW1 Salamanca shuttle stop has been temporarily relocated to the bus zone at 31 Morrison Street, near the Customs House Hotel.

Safe pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.  Please follow the signage on site.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and cooperation.
