With the deadline having passed for submission of bids, this week we look at what's in the box for Army's Land 400 Phase 2 (mounted combat reconnaissance) program.

We also reflect on the smooth introduction of the 'Romeo' Seahwak into naval service and, conversely the not so smooth road followed by the program to replace the RAAF's ageing basic flight training system — Air 5428.

James Fisher Divex continues to strengthen its position as a big player in submarine rescue circles, securing the NATO contract for the operation and support of its system, and LTCOL Amanda Johnston is a finalist in QLD's Business Women's Awards.

CAE has been helping to facilitate virtual training for RAAF aircrews during Exercise Coalition Virtual Flag and school students have a whale of a time during the recent SUBS in Schools finals in SA.

As always, both Katherine Ziesing and myself look forward to your feedback, and be sure to keep track of our daily news updates on facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn,
