Sixth GradeLast week, 6th grade's favorite comic book author and illustrator taught students about character drawing, action poses, and designing comic frames to prepare them for their big comic exhibition this trimester. The students love comic lessons with Rodney Anderson! Middle School SpanishIn 6th-8th grade Spanish classes, students will be making zines to kick off the year with explorations of why languages are important. In class, they explored a variety of zines from local artists and fellow middle school students, and began planning out their own zines. The students will share these zines on Saturday, October 7 at the San Diego Zine Fest! You may view additional details on their project overview. Can you help our young zinesters finish, copy, fold, and share our zines? Sign up here! Performing ArtsStudents in Performing Arts enjoyed a special visit from Anna G who led a ‘Site Specific’ dance workshop in preparation for their Trolley Dance field trip on October 6th. The 4th grade class connected with two schools in Texas and are collecting donated school supplies to help make the start of their school year a little brighter. The students are collecting all kinds of school supplies (pencils, paper, crayons, scissors, etc) to send to their buddy schools in Texas. The collection will from now until Wednesday, September 20, and collection bins are located in the front lobby. Thank you for your donations. Every little bit helps! Upcoming Dates
